This page is intended to assuage any fears for first time travelers about Europe, particularly Italy, and to encourage any interest for traveling overseas.

Most people who have gone overseas will agree that you can learn a lot about yourself and the people close to you, by experiencing cultures of people on the other side of the planet. Italy is particularly easy to appreciate as an American, as so much of American art and philosophy draws on the Italian Renaissance.
